Art Weekends
Get away from it all. Spend 2 days in beautiful surroundings, drawing and painting. During the weekend we spend a little time out in the landscape gathering inspiration or working from observation and also studio time to develop work further. There will be demonstrations of techiques and use of pastels. Subject matter is dependent on the interests of the group and can range from still life to landscapes. Sat and Sun, 10.00am to 4.00pm. Lunch included.
One Day Course - The Versatility of Pastels
A course focusing on different pastel techniques used in landscape, still life and portraiture. Rebecca demonstrates with reference to other artists' work as examples. Students can explore and experiment with different ways to use pastels. 10.00am-4.00pm. Lunch included.

One Day Course - Portraits in Pastels
Working wih a model and other reference material to develop skills in drawing the head and how to capture the spirit and emotion of your subject. 10.00am-4.00pm. Lunch inclued.
3 Hour - Taster Course in Pastels
An introduction to soft pastel techniques. This course is both for beginners or more experienced artists wanting to try out the medium. Escape, even for a short time, from acrylic and water-colour. 10.00am-1.00pm. Lunch can be included

Private Tuition
I offer private art lessons to young people and adults, prices start at £25 per hour, including materials. Lessons are tailored to suit the needs of each student, to help them discover and develop their potential. Small group sessions can be arranged.
Pastel Workshops In School
I teach specialist pastel workshops in senior schools, to GCSE and A Level students. These take place after school, at weekends or in the school holidays, and can be a single session, or a short course learning different techniques, with still life and portraiture.
Course Dates and Prices
Prices include basic drawing materials used and a delicious light lunch for one day and weekend courses. Specialist pastels and papers used will be charged at cost price, which is usually £3 per day at the most. Students are welcome to bring their own pastels and paper if they have them. All prices are based on a maximum group size of 5 students.
Portrait course price includes model fee.

As all the courses are for small groups of 5 or less I tailor each one to the requirements of that group, so I am keen to hear of your previous experience with drawing and painting (if any), and to find out what sort of course you would like to do, be it a weekend workshop, an evening class or a daytime class.
